Jalamangala is an idyllic weekend getaway that has something for everyone.Sited deep in the countryside off Mysore Road, Jalamangala is a calm and peaceful village famous for its 3,845 ft high rocky hill known as Narayanagiri. The major highlights of this place include the ruins of Jalamangala Fort, Laxminarayana temple, small ponds and numerous caves. The Laxminarayana temple on the top of Narayanagiri is open only on Saturdays. Jalamangala is about 76 km from Bangalore.
